Draft horses in South Africa?
I am looking for a draft or draft cross for sale in South Africa (I live in Cape Town but will travel to see horses). It must be a big bodied horse as it is for my fiance who weighs about 119kg and 6'2. He is a dead beginner and just wants to trail ride for fun. Does anyone know of any breeders in the country or any horses that fit this description that are for sale? I have been all over the internet ads to no avail. Please keep answers relevant to South Africa. Thanks!!

Here is one that looks like he is worth checking out, and at a reasonable price. Although he is young, he is already broke to harness and maybe for a little more $, they will go ahead and break him to saddle for you as well. He is being sold from an individual from their place, not through a sale, I would be more comfortable making a purchase like this. When you do buy a saddle, make sure it not only fits the rider, but is also specifically made for a draft horse, there is a big difference in saddles.
