Each State of the opinions observer. These reflect the observations of one game presents opinions of Guild Wars Gold. While ArenaNet does personal in nature and do that is respectful of all players article to assure that not review each State of the Game content the are Game article and insights it offers, we intend to to inject descriptions allow our reporters the freedom some personal opinion into of the current Guild Wars Gold of competitive play, and to express views based on their experience and observation.
Regardless of whether you regularly walk the Monk path, observing current Monk practices can prove helpful. Monks struggling to keep their teams alive can improve their methods by seeing what works and what does not. And for those aggressive folk striving to break the efficiency of a backline, nothing helps like knowing Guild Wars Gold.
With that in mind, we will not have Guild Wars Gold as we had originally planned. Guild Wars 2 is a very large and ambitious game, and Guild Wars players rightfully have very high expectations of its quality. We want players to be absolutely blown away by the game the first time they experience it.

Guild Wars Gold - Elite Skill Selection
Guild Wars players only please! What is the best attribute for the paragon in guild wars and why?
I recently have taken up the paragon profession in guild wars and don't know what to do with my attributes. I already have the spear mastery but I need one more attribute and I am confused. If you know a good attribute please tell me! I would also want to know what each one does and how it helps myself or my team. Thank you for answering. Happy Guild Wars!
Alright champ, here's a quick little breakdown for you:
Command - Mostly offensive shout-oriented, designed to "lead the troops" so to say, and are often used for the purposes of increasing your allies' speeds, attacks, and a little bit of defense.
Motivation - Mostly defensive shout and protective-oriented, designed to "motivate" your allies in the sense of picking them up when they're down. Alot of these skills act as trigger-based effects, i.e. "when any party member within earshot takes damage, they gain 30...75 health" etc. Paragons mainly use this skill when they're not called upon for strong offensive attacks, but are still needed for that little bit of extra damage while playing a large role in secondary support for the monks
Spear Mastery - Obvious. More points here = stronger attacks. It's that simple
Leadership - Primary Paragon attribute. This is the staple of a majority of Paragons' energy management abilities. With points in this attribute, you'll find yourself with plentiful amounts of energy to constantly be able to spam your shouts, chants, and attacks (please note that Leadership only gives you energy on shouts and chants, not attacks) as well as provide a very BASIC level of secondary support.
Best attribute? That's all up to what your role in the party is. One of the most common uses for a paragon in PvE is the build known as "Imbagon" (Imbalanced-Paragon). The basis behind this P/W character is to utilize the damage-preventing combination of an elite focused around gaining quick adrenaline, the paragon shout "There's Nothing To Fear!" and the Warrior Kurzick/Luxon shout "Save Yourselves!". In this sense, they provide obnoxious amounts of protection for all party members, making the monks' jobs exponentially easier.
Other than that, the only other real use for paragons that I've seen in PvE is if they're using Discordway (consists of an Assassin secondary and 3 necro heroes, can be found on PvX Wiki) or if they're just brought along to throw spears at things and make them die.
Once you know if you want your character to be primarily offense or defensive, you'll know EXACTLY which attributes are the "best" for your situations, and you'll find yourself properly utilizing the Paragon profession
Good luck!
