Installation-recovery disk?
I have a Packard Bell Computer with XP,18mths old.It didn't come with any disks,but i could make my own through the computer,which i did.My computer crashed not long ago and the disks would not work,so i had to take it to be repaired.Packard Bell were not interested.If it crashes again i am in the same boat again.Is there anyway i can make more disks.Everything relating to Packard bell has vanished off my computer from the last crash.

Create another recovery disk, this should be capable of booting you into the repair mode. The people who repaired it should have kept the Packard Bell setup together, as that normally has a recovery system built in. Since they did not a good option here is to buy a new Windows OS disk, this gives you the best capability for recovering it yourself, but is an expensive way to go.
