Learn Math DS : Teach Maths the easy way
Maths must be one of the most difficult concepts to understand. Especially for those that find the concepts challenging to say the least. Kids like to play, therefore the best way to learn the subject is through play. The Nintendo DS and Nintendo Dsi consoles have come up with a unique way of overcoming this problem. They have brought out a game called Learn Maths.
Teaching basic mathematical concepts can be quite the chore because, let's face it, math isn't exactly the most interesting subject for many children. Luckily, you can help reinforce these concepts in a game for the Nintendo DS called "Learn Math."
- What It Does
- Learn Math DS was designed by Dreamcatcher Interactive Games as a means to stimulate children's interest in mathematics. The game targets students in grades 1 through 4 and teaches age-appropriate material. The game features fun and interactive activities that require the child to master a mathematical concept before proceeding to the next level. Each level builds upon the previous level so as to greatly reinforce the concepts learned.
Game Play
- The main character in the game is a vampire, who can be named anything the child chooses. The objective is to help the vampire complete certain tasks, such as purchasing clothing or creating an animal shape out of blocks. Correctly working basic mathematical problems is required to complete the task, thus completing the level. The questions are fairly basic, but age-appropriate to the child's grade. For example, a third-grade student might help the vampire purchase a shirt by subtracting the cost of the shirt from the total amount of money the vampire has, whereas a first-grade student might try to complete a puzzle or use blocks to build an animal or other object. Each level teaches a new mathematical concept and builds on the previous levels. For example, lessons on addition and subtraction are required before a student can complete a more complex equation that requires both addition and subtraction.
Learn Math DS contains activities children can practice and repeat that will teach them 10 different topics and concepts.

The church specifically said in the 50's that learning math causes blood to move from your womb to the brain, making you an unfit child bearer.
Do most of you simply not want children and to be childless and barren?
Wondering if this is a misrepresentation/misunderstanding (not necessarily your fault) of canon law, or one of the Church's hideously embarrassing moments. Fortunately, it's pre-Vatican II. In the question itself I don't get what you're after unless it's just rhetorical. I'm interested in this though, can you quote the source? As an aside, I'm terrible at math, Catholic, and have a child who's quite good at math. Please don't tell the Pope.
