Build Your Children A Playhouse - Help Them Build Childhood Memories
Build a playhouse and get your children to have fun outside. Have you been worried that your kids will not play outside like children in the old days? Do you remember playing outside with your friends, football, tag, a a fort or playhouse? Now that children spend all their time playing computer games or watching limitless hours of tv, they don't get exercise the way children used to and to speak frankly, they're getting fat.
Have you thought about constructing a playhouse for the kids? Better yet, make it a family challenge and get them involved. Allow your kids to help pick the blueprints. Would they like it it be a playhouse or a fort? What kind of trim and accessories should it have? Should it have a swing? Furniture? What colors would be good?
Once you have the basic plan picked out, let your kids help with the building as far as they are able. Maybe a six-year-old can only hand you some nails before losing interest, but when that kid gets older, they'll recall how they helped Daddy build the playhouse. An eight- or nine-year-old can hammer nails and with supervision, cut wood. Any one can paint, sort of. Don't neglect to take photographs.
And once it's completed, the real magic comes about. The children will actually play outside. The playhouse becomes a mansion, a pirate ship, a log cabin or perhaps a palace. Neighborhood kids will come to play at your home. Now is actually a great time to get your children to the habit of asking their friends over. You will be glad to find out who their associates are after they get to be teenagers.
Don't put it off. Toddlers tend to losing their childhood before you know it. Even if you don't have much in the way of building skills, it is possible to build a playhouse you would be proud and your young boys and girls will simply adore. All you need is a desire plus a good set of step-by-step, easy-to-follow playhouse plans.
