Better Math Aptitude through Children's Music Lessons
It is a well established fact that participating in children's music lessons will improve your child's mental development dramatically. It is a lesser-known fact, but still a fact that participating in children's music lessons greatly benefits the student in their mathematical and scientific abilities also.
Enrolling your child into children's music lessons will not only help them with their development of rhythm but it will help with their motor skills, hand - eye coordination and even their hearing. Memorizing musical scores is great for developing memory and mental visualization while playing the instrument (many of which require both hands), is where the motor skills come in.
It takes skill and practice to have both hands doing something different while reading and listening to what you are doing.
Additionally, children who participate in children's music lessons express themselves more concisely. They write and speak better and they have a better command of spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Pythagoras created the "doctrine of sound" while studying the philosophical and mathematical aspects of a sound. He even tried to connect music with astronomy. He was the first to state "that music teaches a person not only to see, but also to reproduce what has been seen; not only to hear, but also to imagine what you hear".
Pythagoras concluded music develops all aspects of perception including visual, acoustical, and sensual. The best gift you can give your child is the gift of education and if you want them to have a secret weapon in their arsenal, get them enrolled in children's music lessons!
In addition, children's music lessons positively influence your child's memory in every way from visual, acoustical, motor, associative and even imagination. Every skill ever learned by the hand is easily forgotten; skills learned by the mind last a lifetime.
Also, children's music lessons develop the associative imagination of children that makes mastering other kinds of arts much more possible. Remember Leonardo da Vinci? Everyone admires his versatile talent. Consider his talents - some of which complemented others. He was the sculptor, an artist, an architect and even an engineer. Da Vinci could also sing and he even gave singing lessons! He was one of the first people who studied the nature of a vocal art.
By encouraging your child to embrace children's music lessons you will be give them a big head start on life. After participating in children's music lessons and embracing the art of playing a musical instrument, they will be well on their way to developing an independent identity and thinking for themselves. What are the advantages of Suzuki music lessons over conventional lessons?
How does learning the Suzuki method of an instrument effect the child later on when they learn to read music?

Well the Suzuki method pairs the fingering and the notes together which helped for me (I've been taking violin lessons for a year). However, I had taken piano lessons for about 7 years before that. I would still suggest having your child take piano lessons so they can learn the basics of music-reading notes, etc. so when they start playing another instrument they have those fundamentals to build off of.
