What is the most effective way to make a photo collage with photoshop?
I took a photography class in highschool, but I forget how to make a photo collage. I need help with the different ways I could go about making a photo collage (making a gap between each picture), selecting a certain part of each/all pictures and putting them all together to form one big "picture", etc etc. Thanks.
Your marquee (marching ants box) and your lasso tool are going to be your two best friends for this project. Those will let you select the part of the picture you want, then you'll hit CTRL+I or go to the select menu and select Inverse, then delete the excess part of the picture you don't want.
If you want to get fancy, after you invert but before you delete there's an option in the Select menu called Feather, this will soften your edges to make them blend better.
And then of course you could make your collage as pictures with spaces between them, or overlap them all to make something different.
