How To Choose A Self Hypnosis Course
There are several different options online for a self hypnosis course. So before you enrol in one, you need to work out what you want to achieve from such a course. This will depend on whether you want to take up self hypnosis as a hobby or whether you'd like it to lead you to a possible career in hypnosis.
Different Types Of Self Hypnosis Course
The simplest courses to teach yourself hypnosis consist of a series of emails and maybe short instructional videos that take you through the basics of hypnosis, what you should expect, etc. They range in price from free upwards so if you're not sure whether or not hypnosis is something that you want to pursue, choosing a free self hypnosis course is probably the best place to begin.
The other courses on offer are more detailed and aim to take you from a complete hypnosis novice to someone who can confidently perform hypnosis on friends, family and even strangers.
This kind of course is more detailed and is likely to cost you some money, although probably a lot less than you'd think of spending for personal tuition or even attending a course in a nearby town or city.
Online self hypnosis courses have the other advantage that they are self paced. Within a few limits, you can go at them as fast or as slow as you like. Some will pace you but others will just give you the complete course to tackle at your own speed.
The paced self hypnosis courses may also offer an exam and a certificate once you complete the course. This is good as it gives both you and any potential clients the confidence that you can pass a hypnosis exam.

There was a math program around 1970 or so called INCAT, I was part of that self paced learning math program.?
Does anyone here have any info on it?
I was in elementary school in the early 70s and we had a self-paced program called IMS Math. I can't remember much about it except that there were different domains (Numeration, Addition, Fractions etc) and that you did a pre-test, and that told you what folders that you had to do, the folders were laminated and you worked with a grease pencil on the sheets. Then you did a post test and if you passed you got to move your name onto another section.
Don't know if yours was anything like that. My strongest memory was that I was given a C one term and my parent were told that it was that I wasn't moving through the self-paced program fast enough. Go figure.
