What type of software or service are use a in school inviroment to keep all the Student records?

Recently I've been ask to do a research to in to find a software or a webpage to keep all the student records instead of having a workgroup made and not wanted to wait for the person in charge of that profile . They want to be able to just type the Student name or social security and get all the records interms of there application status or there profile.

Your talking about a major database management system with the ability to query the database, and no doubt, to be able to add or delete and modify student information.

That's not the kind of thing that can be answered in a simple Q&A forum like this.

If you're doing research to find out what is commonly used, you need to interview representatives from each of a number of different schools to find out what others are doing.

If you're actually writing a program, that's a much deeper issue.

In either case, you don't store information on a webpage, that is to say, you don't keep student records on a webpage.

The information is stored in a database, and the web page is used to display the information.

If you're working in a group project, wait for the others, don't jump ahead, or your part of the project might not match what others are doing. The key to accessing information from a database is the query language used by that particular database. Sql is the standard, but not the absolute, so you need to find out what kind of query language the student database uses, and you'll need to learn that particular query language.

You'll need to learn HTML, but I would recommend a more powerful tool that works along with HTML, such as ColdFusion. The ColdFusion takes care of the details, while the HTML takes care of the layout of those details.
